Malta, January 2009 - Mdina then Zest

Had breakfast at the little café’ again this morning.  Then we walked up to the bus stop to catch #65 to Mdina.  It was about a 30-minute ride.  We spent a good hour or so walking around and taking pictures.  The Mdina glass shops had large varieties that blew me away.  We went to the restaurant that Kim and I spotted yesterday.  We were the first ones in.  All of us ended up ordering just the soup of the day, which was Pea-Curry-Apple.  I know, strange but is was one of the best soups I have ever had.  We left the restaurant and headed back to the bus terminal to catch the next bus back to town.  When we got back Kim and Moktar went shopping and Karen and I went for ice cream and a cappuccino.  All four of us met in the lobby for dinner.  Louise wanted to take us out to Zest, a fancy Japanese’s restaurant that specializes in sushi.   Louise knew I don’t like fish so she had made arrangements for a steak.  A few more of Louise’s co-workers showed up.  The meal and company were great.  We headed back to the hotel after a long four-hour dinner.
